My Project

My students love to read. They are so special because they have built up that confidence to want to read aloud for the class. They LOVE drama skits and they get into character and their voices and personalities change. It brings me so much joy and happiness when I know my ELL students want to read aloud.

My goal is to provide them with a voice so their classmates can hear them when they read and/or voice their opinions.

The microphones will help encourage my nonreaders to want to read aloud and to stop having my students repeat themselves because they have soft and sweet voices. In a school where the majority of my students are ELL learners, English is not their favorite subject but I have hope that will change.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
