This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Kindergarten Dual Language teacher in the Bronx, New York. This public school provides an education to students of many different ethnicities. The school educates over 1200 students grades K-5 and the majority of students receive free lunch.

Currently I am teaching remotely and all my students are dealing with different types of learning from home experiences.

Each student brings something special to the class. They are all on different levels socially and academically but all have this motivation to learn! Giving them the best remote learning experience is my goal!

My Project

Having a document camera will allow the students to receive the best remote teaching experience because they will get to SEE everything. The document camera will allow texts, drawings, and letter formations to be displayed and seen by the students; making it easier for them to learn how to do the activities and tasks.

The document camera will make it easier to show how to form letters and draw their stories and label, along with how to point to words and other skills needed to read and write.

This will facilitate and make the remote learning experience so much better for the kids!
