This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Winter can be a wonderful time, however this is usually a very drying time. There is such a need for much more hydration, not just in terms of drinking and water, but the hydration that we need for our skin, bodies, and health protection. It's not uncommon during these times for students to say, "Miss, do you have any lotion?" It is very hard to learn when you feel the intense dryness of your skin!

With the use of this project, students will be able to access a wide variety of tools, including water bottles, lotions, balms, and creams to keep themselves hydrated during these dry times!

With these tools, we can set up a hydration station so that depending on a student's level of dehydration, they can get those needs met so that they can focus on learning. Even though the dryness can be extra rough during the winter months, this is really also a strong need throughout the year as the desert heat can be super drying!
