My Project

Like most teachers, I struggle with students continually asking "may I get a drink of water?" or "can I go fill up my water bottle?" The distraction can cause a lot of lost learning time, as a foray into the hallway can turn into even more distractions! I would like to provide a clean, ready source of water for my students and reduce the amount of time they spend out of the classroom.

Being comfortably hydrated, or being able to hold a soothing cup of tea, can help students to focus more successfully on their school work.

It is important to me to cultivate a space in which students are treated and respected as fully-rounded human beings; providing them with easily accessible drinking water, and the capacity to make a simple cup of tea, is part of that space. I am excited to provide my students with the tools to take care of themselves AND their learning environment at the same time!
