Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been working on a Special Olympics Softball Event at my school. I have fundraised for 1st-5th grade already but have a lot of interest for the Sixth grade students to be allowed to join as well. I would like to include Sixth grade special needs students. The more students the better.

We will practice throwing, catching, running bases for time, and hitting home runs.

On the day of our event, students will join their event time trying to beat their own best record. Students from both General Education and Special Education will be cheering on the athletes. Most of our school will be involved.

I would like to have a drink mix and cups to keep all students hydrated during our event.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
