Help me give my students a wireless tablet, additional monitor, webcam and personal headphones to facilitate teaching face-to-face students as well as virtual students.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love to hear, "Mrs. Ramseur, What did I get on my test? Did you grade it yet?" It lets me know that they get it and are striving for the best. Teaching in the inner city, it is important to hear and see this level of engagement. Many of my students need additional support just to show up daily. Not to just be here physically but to be present in the room, ready and willing to learn.

My students are resilient! My students are warriors! Teaching math to energetic students who have the drive to succeed is my passion.
Many are battling disengagement as they grapple to navigate through the disconnection of school, home and play. Most face daily trauma that the school building allows them to escape. Hybrid learning is effective for helping them reengage and show up to work.
My Project
Through hybrid learning, we are returning to a sense of normalcy and the traditional model of in person learning. Students are in person 2 days a week and remote 3 days a week; however, I also teacher students who are virtual all 5 days.
Adding a webcam, additional monitor and electronic tablet will allow me to increase the visibility of my virtual students and safely deliver instruction to my face-to-face students simultaneously.
The sneeze guard will allow me to increase the PPE and safety to ensure I am capable of staying at school healthy as long as possible.
Providing headphones to students allows them to cancel out surrounding noise while increasing their ability to concentrate at home and in the school building. My students deserve the world and by supporting this project, you are allowing me to help my students combat the uneasiness of living through this pandemic while adjusting to our new normal, which requires a greater reliance on technology.
