Hungry Teens Need Healthy Snacks!

My Project

I have many students who go through their day hungry for a variety of reasons. Some students burn additional calories through their after-school activities, especially students who are in sports! Some students miss breakfast as they are rushing to school early in the morning. Other students miss out on lunch due to long lines and lunch rushes or students opt out of lunch to use their time studying and completing work. Daily, I have students who are hungry and ask for a snack or are lightheaded from not eating or drinking water all day. Although seemingly insignificant, food is necessary for students to engage in class with their bodies and brains properly powered.
