Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students come from homes that do not have much and many are hungry when they get to school. I want to provide a few filling snacks, like macaroni and cheese and meat sticks, that will help them get through the night to the next day. Everybody loves a good snack as a pick-me-up or even just until their next meal. In my class, we like to strive to keep the bin filled. The snacks will also help the kiddos know they can have a snack when they need it instead of ignoring it and becoming hangry. This opportunity allows them to use the snack socially by sharing with a friend.
