My Project

Our school’s athletic department is committed to providing opportunities that help student-athletes grow both on and off the court. Operating a concession stand during athletic events will allow student-athletes to take an active role in supporting their programs while developing valuable life skills. Students will help run the concession stand, giving them hands-on experience in responsibility, teamwork, communication, customer service, leadership, and problem-solving. This real-world experience helps build confidence and teaches skills that can be applied in future jobs, college, and community involvement.

Involving student-athletes in concession operations also encourages a greater sense of ownership, pride, and investment in their teams and school.

In addition to supporting student development, the concession stand helps create a positive game-day atmosphere for families, staff, and community members. Student-athletes will have opportunities to interact with supporters, represent the school in a professional manner, and strengthen connections within the community. The experience also introduces students to basic financial literacy concepts such as handling transactions, tracking inventory, budgeting, and managing resources. These practical skills help prepare students for future success while reinforcing the importance of accountability and teamwork. By allowing student-athletes to operate the concession stand, our school is enhancing the athletic experience while promoting leadership, character development, workforce readiness, and a stronger sense of school spirit and community engagement.
