This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a lot of students that have experienced trauma, neglect, abuse, and many more adversities.

I am currently studying horticultural therapy and clinical mental health counseling.

I would like to implement a horticultural therapy group for my students. Unfortunately, our school does not have a garden and I would like to create one, especially for the students to have access to.

With these supplies, I will lead a therapy group that will help my students self-regulate, journal, explore, connect with peers, become grounded in nature, grow plants, and have the opportunity to indulge in many more nature-based activities.
