My Project

As we study the roles various consumers play in an ecosystem, I would like for my students to focus on the role owls play in a food chain. An owl pellet is a great way for students to have a direct connection to another living organism.

Through dissecting owl pellets, students will be able to see what owls have eaten to gain its energy and determine if they are herbivores, omnivores, or carnivores.

Students learn best when they are provided hands-on learning opportunities and this project will allow students to have an awesome hands-on experience!
