Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Learning by doing is essential to our naturally curious, transitional kindergarten students. The TK students in my class are four and five years old. These students are beginning their educational journeys, and I want to create a love of learning.

Our school is located in California and is a designated Title I school.

The students in my classroom come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I want to create a strong educational foundation for my early learners in TK. I hope that you can contribute to and support this important project.

My Project

Our playground is not very engaging, and our students don't have many choices to select from when they are outdoors. This outdoor play kitchen is a great tool to help inspire students to spend more time outdoors. Encouraging outdoor play in young children helps develop a healthy attitude about maintaining an energetic adult lifestyle.

This outdoor kitchen will help my students spend more time outdoors and away from technology which will aid their physical well-being and helps them improve their emotional and intellectual health, too.

There’s no denying the benefits of stepping away from the screen and into the sunshine. This kitchen has so many benefits in a preschool setting to help promote a joy of fun and learning!
