Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school boys basketball team is more than just a group of athletes—it is a community where students learn valuable life lessons that extend far beyond the court. This project will provide basketballs, practice jerseys, and other essential team equipment needed to create a positive, organized, and successful practices which in turn will lead to multiple accomplished basketball seasons.

Having quality equipment allows every player to fully participate in practices and games.

New basketballs will help students develop fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting, while practice jerseys create structure during drills and scrimmages, helping practices run more efficiently. These essentials ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to learn, improve, and contribute to the team.

Basketball teaches young people much more than how to play a game. It builds teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, discipline, leadership, and resilience. Our student-athletes learn how to communicate, support one another, overcome challenges, and work toward shared goals. They discover that success comes through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to improving every day.

Your generosity will provide our players with the tools they need to grow as athletes, students, and leaders. By supporting this project, you are investing in experiences that will help these young men build confidence, strengthen character, and create lasting memories both on and off the court.
