Students can work at their own pace without distracting the people around them, and having enough headphones available means that access to these activities is not dependent on whether a student is able to bring a pair from home.\r\nWhat has been most exciting for the students is simply having new materials that are theirs to use in the classroom. They enjoy being able to put away the computer screen for a while and use the markers and poster paper to create projects, work together, and show what they have learned differently. At the same time, the headphones make our technology-based activities easier and more accessible. These may seem like simple classroom supplies, but students notice when they have quality materials available to them, and they are genuinely excited to use them.\r\nFor many of our students from low-income families, having the right school supplies cannot always be taken for granted.
