Instead of just copying notes, they helped decide what steps were most important, wrote them in their own words, and used different colors to highlight key parts of the process. Having those student-created charts displayed in our room has given them a sense of ownership and pride — and they now independently reference them when solving new problems.\r\n\r\nThe calculators have been especially impactful.
