Hold Me Tight Plush Animal During Read Alouds!

Help me give my students a plush stuffed animal to hold during our read aloud!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach dual language in an inclusion program to serve children with both English and Spanish. I currently have twenty-seven students and teach English component of the DL program. I have 17 girls and ten boys. My school serves low-income, high-poverty students. One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

My ultimate goal is to provide the best education and a safe learning environment for all of my students by supporting their everyday needs.

My students love drawing and painting and during this difficult time, that has helped them with their emotional stress and anxiety. My students are finding their inner strengths during this time, and they are helping each other.

Preparing our students for the future is crucial for educational success. During uncertain times like today, we need to secure the future for our students. Underprivileged students deserve a great education even if it's an online education during school closures.

Students need to be challenged and no two students are the same. My students are all willing and ready to learn new things and enjoy sharing what they learned with family.

My Project

These adorable soft plush stuffed animals will be loved and cared for. My students need a sense of belonging during remote learning and these stuffed animals will help my students feel loved. We will be using these to hold tight during our read alouds. Small children love to hold a pillow, blanket or stuffed animal during read alouds. Please help my students have a lovable huggable stuffed animal during their remote learning these will be their best friend and ensure that my students social emotional needs are met. Help reduce insecurities during remote learning.

Stuffed animals promote reading in young children.

As we already know that children live in their own world filled with adventure and fantasy, and evidently feel safe and playful around their favorite toys. A recent study found that your child's stuffed companion may help induce reading habits in them.
