Students took turns pulling blocks with math problems, working together to solve them before placing the blocks back. When one student who usually struggles with math confidence successfully solved a challenging problem and helped steady the wobbly tower, the whole group cheered! What I love most is watching them naturally help each other. When someone gets stuck, hands shoot up with offers to explain or work through the problem together. Even when our tower tumbles (which happens more often than you'd think!), they just laugh and rebuild, talking through their strategies as they go.\r\nLooking ahead, I want to create our own custom math blocks for our upcoming geometry unit. Students could design their own shape and measurement challenges to add to our collection. Furthermore, the schedules have been laminated to allow students to interact with their schedule and allow me to make any additional notes if necessary.
