My Project

First grade is a year of wonder and excitement! My hope is to fill my classroom with learning materials that are of high interest, engaging and enjoyable. Kiddos learn best through play and kinesthetic learning. The magnets, Legos and building materials will provide my students with team building, problem solving and engineering skills. The puzzles will help students see patterns and problem solve. The art supplies will allow for students to express their ideas and understanding of learning using a variety of art tools. Students will understand math concepts by actually having the manipulative in hand to explore with and make those valuable connections to the real word and their understanding! We learn by "doing"! My desire for my students is for them to be active learners in their education journey!
