My students need history and literature. Some of these books were requested by students. Some of these books I find relevant for today!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are so great. I have so many great stories about kids helping each other and also being respectful of the library. I have the privilege of seeing every student once a week. I want to give them so much more.
My students do not have the resources to go to the public library, let alone buy books.
My library contains mostly books from the 1980s. There are so many wonderful books that I wish I could give these kids. They are readers. I have students who always want more. They ask for specific subjects and I do not have enough. We have a pitiful amount.
I am looking around at the projects some of these students have completed and they are truly amazing. They are hardworking and great kids even when their personal lives could get in the way. I am so proud of these student as I hope everyone is who can positively effect their lives.
My Project
When a student in fourth grade requests "The Lord of the Rings," it is important to have these wonderful books. I hope all students want to read books above their level and I can have amazing donors donate them to the library. I hope o never run out of books to request. I was looking at History books. They are relevant to what is happening in the world today! Students need to know history. They will be making history soon enough! I hope I have picked books that will give our students to have ideas and thoughts and speak up!
