Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves a dynamic Latinx student population. Our students are incredibly thoughtful, respectful, and hard-working despite the challenges they face in their lives outside of school. Many of our students are Dreamers and first-generation Americans. We, like schools across America during the pandemic, are struggling to offer students incredible experiences due to the constraints of educational budgets.

My Project

Our budget has been very tight the past 2 years due to the impacts of COVID-19, and we are fresh out of paint and art materials.

We need a basic restock of paint thinner and paint so our students can continue to express themselves in art class and fill our hallways at school with artwork.

The arts are a huge part of our school community, as our hallways are full of murals representing our students. Thank you for supporting our class and making basic, quality art materials one less obstacle for our students every day. This project means the world to them.
