Hello! Our brand new school in Kansas City plans to utilize its art program to serve the greater community - whether that is through fundraising art shows, beautifying local nursing homes or areas of the city that have become run down. As a school in the heart of a low-income neighborhood of Kansas City, we need support in order to learn as much as possible, as it takes a community to truly educate and raise a child! I plan on maintaining a rigorous classroom culture and high expectations in order for my students to overcome the educational achievement gap dictated by their zip code.
