My Students

Welcome to our classroom! I am halfway through the school year with twenty two precious students who love to learn. We are a group of first through third grade students at a public Montessori school. I am blessed to keep my students for three years so we all become one big family.

My students need high- interest chapter books that encourage them to read for pleasure.

My students have blossomed as readers this year and it’s time for them to move on to content that grows their stamina. Many of my students come from low-income families. Money is tight for the school and families. Therefore, we would appreciate your help getting these books in their hands.

My Project

My students have been reading on their own for pleasure and enjoyment. Our classroom library needs updated titles to keep this spark going. My students are first through third grader readers and are just developing the reading stamina to finish a chapter book.

Early readers are more likely to feel confident and be successful when their first chapter books are graphic novels.

My students made a list of books they would like to see in their classroom library and the books on our shopping list are all books they requested.
