Hey Bill Nye (The Science Guy) Explain That to Me Again!

My students need Bill Nye DVDs for science.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever tried to learn about something you can't see? What about a complex concept that you had never experienced? Many times in science we are trying to teach kids about invisible forces, such as gravity, magnetism, and energy.

My kids really need the visual reinforcement that comes with watching a DVD on the topics we learn.

Even though most of our science is hands on, it is easy for students to form misconceptions based on their experience. When I have shown DVDs related to our projects, my students have been much more successful.

My Project

Bill Nye, The Science Guy, is an energetic and popular science video that takes difficult ideas and makes them easier for kids to understand. These high interest DVDs will cover many of our science units and assist me in insuring my students are taking away accurate information which they can apply in the real world.

I want to spark a love of science in my students.

We need the next generation to be just as interested in innovation and STEM careers. I feel these videos will create an additional avenue for my students to understand our science curriculum.
