This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars are energetic scholars who love not only love to have fun but love to learn through engaging activities.

A given fact about bees is that bees are among the hardest working species on the planet and this describes my scholars and their dedication to learning - we are the Busy Bees!

We call ourselves the Busy Bees; a known fact about honeybees is that they help plants grow because they are pollinators. My Busy Bees help each other grow as scholars because although we might be different from each other, we are a community of learners who share the love of learning with each other.

My Project

In kindergarten, our scholars learn so much throughout the day that they need to recharge.

As our scholars develop, being able to rest at school gives their bodies and minds time to rest and recharge during those times.

The resting mat cart gives our scholars the skill to become independent and put their mats away as we currently do not have storage for them. We currently put them up high and it results in the mats not being accessible to them as they should. The resting mat cart provides the opportunity for them after resting time to put their own belongings away
