My Students

Our students always look forward to moving when they get to go to PE! Some of our favorite activities include the traditional sports of soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, and ultimate Frisbee. We also love fun games such as parachute, building hula huts, team handball, balloon volleyball, scooters, castle ball, cup stacking, pickleball, bowling, and spike ball.

Whatever the game, we love to learn, play, and have fun!

Having the appropriate equipment and enough for all the students to use, helps optimize our physically active time and fun!

My Project

I have now been teaching at Shadow Valley Elementary for over 6 years! When I first got to the school the PE closet was pretty bad. Equipment was not organized and it was thrown across the floor. I have used the old shelving in my closet but as I have been able to build our program, storage has become a problem.

The current shelving I have is broken and there is not enough space to organize it well.

By getting three shelving units I will be able to continue to keep our amazing equipment ready for us to learn and play with!

Also, the shoulder folders have been very popular at our school. Recess and bus has been using some of mine. We could use another set. The extra ball equipment is to help maintain a classroom set of 36. We have some get lost, or broken during our units this year.
