HUH? HUH? HUH? Have you ever had a hard time hearing and therefore couldn't enjoy the experience due to your inability to hear? My students experience this condition on a regular basis - but you can be the solution to our problem by helping us purchase headphones for our computer lab.
My students attend a new school that just opened last year.
We are in a rural community with very little industry (the largest employer is the school system). We are currently a targeted-assistance Title school but are applying for full Title status. Being a new school, we have many wonderful resources; however, there are also resources that we desperately need but lack the funding to provide.
We are asking that you help us purchase headphones to be used in our computer lab. There are many wonderful learning opportunities that could be used to provide a fun and innovative supplement to our daily education; however, we are unable to use these resources effectively due to the inability to hear the computer resources we are using. My students live in a technological world very different from the world we grew up in. In today's modern world, we have to find innovative ways to educate our students and what better way than through fun learning games on the computer?
By supporting this project, you will bring "fun" into our classroom through learning games, as well as enhance my students use of technology.
We are raising a generation of technologically "savvy" students and you can play a key part in that growth by supporting our project. Thank you for your consideration.
