Many of them immediately gathered on it, commenting on how soft and inviting it felt. It has quickly become the heart of our classroom. It is a space where we come together each morning for meetings, story time, and group lessons.\r\n\r\nWe are using the rug every single day as a place for collaboration, learning, and building community. One of my favorite moments so far was watching my students sit in a circle on the rug, sharing their ideas during a class discussion. The comfortable, welcoming space encouraged even my more hesitant students to participate, making our conversations more meaningful and inclusive.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our rug will continue to play a central role in our lessons. From math games to reading groups to social-emotional learning activities, it provides a safe and comfortable space for my students to learn and grow together. This gift has truly transformed the feel of our classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for making such a difference for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1746785683079,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-gather-and-grow-a-cozy-rug-for/9257224/","projectTitle":"Help Us Gather and Grow: A Cozy Rug for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Robertson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9999661_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744761171775","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9999661"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98866","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":590,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":58,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":70.2,"schoolId":98866,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Turner Woods Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Turner Woods Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/jones-county-school-district/turner-woods-elementary/98866"}
