My Students

These kids of mine are wonderful people. They are resilient and brave. They are creative and thoughtful. They can and will do anything they put their minds to, and I am so proud that I get to help them.

My Project

I am a 6th grade teacher. I teach in a Title I school that serves many children who are economically challenged. I lead our school's student council, and we have organized and executed our county's largest elementary food drive each year for the past 5 years.

I run a preloading math club two days a week after school that helps kids to understand material that is coming up.

This gives confidence and pride to students who typically struggle. I also lead a group called the Peace Patrol that spreads love and positivity. One of our notable projects was making blankets and dog treats for the local animal shelter. All of these things require a lot of supplies! With your help, I can keep these things going!
