My students need an indoor garden Grow Lab, digital camera, and 5 books including titles on gardening.

I teach a fabulous group of 4th graders who are interested in learning more about the world around them. They happen to live in an area with limited resources as more than 50% of our school qualifies for free and reduced lunch. My goal is to bring hands-on Environmental Science to the classroom.

Our school has 2 garden plots right outside our classroom. Unfortunately, for the past 2 years they have gone unused. I am hoping to change that!

With our Oregon weather, it is not possible to grow much outside of the classroom during the school year. I am hoping to be able to grow starts indoors to be able to transfer outside. In the meantime, my students will be learning about the gardening process and will be able to track the growth of our plants. I am asking for a growlab indoor gardening system, books about gardening, and a digital camera to help us track and graph the plant growth.

With your help, my students will have a chance to learn about gardening and learn about nature in a hands-on, experiential way.
