Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking children. My classroom is located in the heart of the Central Valley. Many of my students are English Learners as well as migrant, transient, or homeless.

Many of my students wake up at dawn and stay at school until 5:30 every evening, and, for many of my students, school is the only dependable and stable part of their lives.

These young students work hard every day to conquer the learning that is put in front of them. Their passion and commitment to learning should be an inspiration to us all!

My Project

I am asking for 3 stools to add to the flexible seating options available in the classroom. Flexible seating options have turned into an integral part of my students' day!

I believe in teaching not only academics but also life skills.

One way to do that is by keeping the classroom and learning centers organized and clean. Thus, I am asking for a variety of storage bins and magazine files in order to organize science manipulatives as well as the classroom library. I am also asking for Clorox disinfectant wipes because...c'mon...I work with up to 50 students a day and we are constantly needing to clean up after a science experiment, accident, or everyday tidying up!
