My classroom has students from the nearby homeless shelter as well as a large migrant community due to nearby Central California farming fields. Many of my students wake before dawn to get ready for school as parents go to their field job. Many students rely on the breakfast, lunch and once weekly snack provided by school as their main source of solid nutrition.
