Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My job as an admin gives me the opportunity to work with every single student in my elementary school. A majority of the students who come to see me are having a tough day or a meltdown and just need a nice, calm place to relax and decompress.

I am requesting bookcases, art markers, Clorox disinfecting wipes, pens, and more.

With a variety of coloring utensils and shelves to store our items, my students will have the opportunity to calm their minds and bodies while expressing their feelings through coloring and drawing. Who wouldn’t love that? I know I would.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
