Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Each day, my students work incredibly hard to grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and kind community members. While we cheer each other on with smiles and applause, I want to create a special, tangible way to honor their achievements.

I am requesting celebratory Snoopy chairs that will become our classroom’s “Celebration Station.” When a student masters a new skill, reaches a personal goal, shows outstanding character, or completes a piece of work they are proud of, they will be invited to sit in the Snoopy Celebration Chair at the front of the room.

From this special seat, they will share their work with classmates and, when possible, with visiting families and community members.

Many of my students thrive on positive reinforcement. Having a dedicated, joyful space to recognize their accomplishments will make celebrations feel meaningful and memorable. The familiar and cheerful Snoopy design will add warmth, fun, and excitement to our classroom environment, making each recognition moment feel truly special.

These chairs will serve as more than just seating; they will become powerful tools for growth and encouragement in our classroom. By providing students with a special spotlight moment in a positive and supportive environment, the Celebration Chair will help build confidence and self-esteem. Students will be motivated to set goals and work diligently toward earning their turn to sit and share. As they present their work, they will naturally strengthen their speaking and listening skills while learning how to clearly express their thinking. Most importantly, the chairs will help foster a culture of encouragement, where classmates genuinely celebrate one another’s achievements and growth.
