Help Students Thrive & Be Cool This Semester

Help me give my students more equitable and lasting learning materials. I have requested office supplies, such as colored neon paper, sharpies, etc. Additionally, our building is tremendously hot, so I have requested several floor fans.

My Project

BHS, located in ward 8, is a beautiful, vibrant school. Our scholars are brilliant representations of Black excellence. Unfortunately, however, they do not currently have access to all they need to thrive. First, our building's heat is out of control. Scholars and educators alike are drained by the constant heat, and we are too distracted and uncomfortable to devote all our attention to wellbeing and academics. Second, our learning materials are running out. We are low on the simplest of materials, such as pencils, sharpies, and colored cardstock.

However, this project will give our scholars the opportunities they deserve and crave.

Included in this project is 4 table fans which will help keep the ninth grade floor cool. Once our scholars are able to focus on their studies, they can and will thrive. Second, this project contains many learning materials that will also keep our focus on the learning. Please help us celebrate Black History Month by making sure our students get everything they deserve!
