My Students

Do you remember the first time you used a laptop in the classroom? Many children never get a chance to use a laptop. Technology is key in today's society.

I teach Pre-Kindergarten to eighteen wonderful children in the New York area.

These children are so fun loving and full of life. Most of these children come from low income families and do not have the opportunities that most children their age receives.

My Project

All students need to learn to read. Some students are auditory learners. They need to hear the word over and over before it becomes part of their memory. A classroom laptop can help students increase their reading skills and reading strategies. My students are excited for technology. The classroom laptop would be used constantly in the room. Some students do not have home computers and a classroom laptop would help them stay current with computer technology along with improving reading skills and strategies. The laptop also gives students the opportunity to learn safe Internet skills under adult supervision.

Your donation will provide these students with technology they will not see at home.

Students will have the opportunity to increase their reading levels along with writing skills. The benefits will help these students throughout their education. With the help of a classroom laptop my students will have the same opportunities students have in other communities.
