Swings for EES: Bringing Joy and Equity to Recess

At EES, a Title I campus, recess is the most anticipated part of the day, but our playground is currently missing a classic childhood staple: a swing set.

Because we are a low-income community without a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to fundraise for big-ticket items, our students often miss out on the enriching playground upgrades that other schools enjoy. A swing set is so much more than just a piece of equipment; it provides crucial sensory integration, builds physical core strength, and offers a therapeutic, stress-relieving outlet for children who face daily systemic challenges. By funding this project, you aren't just buying swings—you are directly investing in equity, joy, and the physical and emotional well-being of hundreds of deserving kids who need a safe space to just be children.
