My Project

Last school year, I created a DonorsChoose project for maps, books, and international snack boxes. When the school year began, I started what has become my most popular special activity in all my 20+ years of teaching!

The students in my English Learner classes learn about the location and culture of a country and then celebrate by tasting snacks from that area of the world.

Students often ask me when we will learn about the next location. I'd love to expand on what we've learned and add a few more amazing places in the world. Please help me motivate my students to learn about cultures that exist all around the globe with these international snacks!
