Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My energetic 5th grade students love staying active and learning teamwork through physical education. Soccer has quickly become one of their favorite activities—it builds coordination, confidence, and cooperation. However, our current equipment is limited, and we do not have proper soccer goals for students to fully experience the game.

Right now, we rely on makeshift boundaries and cones, which makes it difficult for students to practice accuracy, positioning, and real gameplay.

Having durable, age-appropriate soccer goals would transform our lessons by giving students a more authentic and engaging experience.

With proper goals, my students will be able to:

• Practice essential soccer skills like shooting and goalkeeping

• Participate in structured games that promote teamwork and sportsmanship

• Stay motivated and excited about physical activity

This project will not only enhance our PE curriculum but also help students develop lifelong healthy habits. For many of my students, school is the primary place where they have access to sports equipment, making this opportunity even more meaningful.
