Help my Math Students Decode Word Problems

Help me give my students magnetic, dry-erase coordinate grids so that we can work on story problems together.

My Project

I love to have my students work at the whiteboards because it increases collaboration, knowledge mobility, and high-level engagement/ critical thinking. This aligns with the literacy project because we often have to break down story problems by drawing or graphing the story.

This is especially helpful for my students who are multilingual learners.

My goal is to have a workspace for all students to be able to sketch their thinking on a non-permanent surface (dry-erase). I can get a more comprehensive view of all of the students' work if they are working at the vertical space (whiteboards). The other manipulatives that I am requesting are to aid students in fact fluency skills so that they can attend to more complex story problems without getting stuck on computation skills.
