My Students

My students are all identified with a special education needs in grades kindergarten and first grade. They are starting their young school careers with additional struggles that have been identified prior to this school year. I work in their regular education classrooms and they may also be pulled out for specially designed instructions to help them access the regular education curriculum. My students are often energetic, entering the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore especially if materials grab their interests.

I believe that every child is capable of great things and they all want to do well.

The students I work with strive for excellence even with the many challenging circumstances they come to school with. I want to help them to be successful. Getting fun and interesting books in their hands that are at their reading level is one way that we can help them to be successful.

They beam with joy as they proudly identify letters, numbers, and discover sounds. They love to learn!

My Project

Teacher Pay Teachers is a great resource that will provide my students with engaging activities to practice listening, cooperative learning, sharing and basic skills in a hands on manner.

I am able to easily reproduce materials to practice skills to help my student's meet their individual goals.

These materials can be used in school and later sent home for families to continue practicing these skills. This project will allow me to purchase materials that will excite my students because I will be able to search for materials to address their specific interests.
