Help me give my students personal hygiene kits so they can feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Middle school comes with so many changes, and something as simple as having access to basic hygiene products can have a major impact on a student's confidence and comfort at school.

I want to create individual hygiene kits for my students that include everyday essentials such as deodorant, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, wipes, and other personal-care products.

Not every student has consistent access to these items at home, and middle school students may be especially hesitant to ask an adult when they need something. By keeping hygiene kits readily available, I can provide students with what they need privately and respectfully, without questions, embarrassment, or judgment.

These kits will also give students something they can take home and continue using rather than only having access to supplies while they are at school.

My goal is for every student who walks into my classroom to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. When a student doesn't have to worry about whether they have deodorant, toothpaste, or other basic necessities, they have one less barrier standing between them and their education.

Your support will help me provide my students with practical necessities while also reminding them that their school community cares about their well-being.
