Help Make Distance Learning Interactive and Engaging
Help me give my students access to hands on learning opportunities at home while distance learning! These supplies offer alternative forms of writing and creating using sensory based strategies.
I teach an amazing bunch of students! My students are energetic, creative, kind, and love to have fun. Many of my students are learning English as a second (or third!) language and speak Spanish, Somali, and Hmong.
All of my students have exceptional needs, and they deserve the best learning environment and materials available in order to help them succeed.
All of my students have Autism or a developmental disability. It is vital for my students to have a classroom that is a calming refuge that can be a place for them to feel welcome, safe, have their needs met, and learn and grow together.
Help me meet my students´ needs by providing them with tools and resources just for them.
My Project
My students are diverse learners with a variety of needs-distance learning is especially challenging for many of my students. My exceptional students need hands on learning activities that are engaging and interactive. While we cannot engage in face-to-face and hands on learning IN the classroom as we have before, I am striving to make distance learning as engaging as possible while they are at home.
These items will help students learn early writing and math skills while having fun and engaging in multi-sensory learning strategies.
Despite the challenges this year has thrown at us, I want my students to keep learning and growing together (even when we are physically apart!). These materials will be used to make individualized binders and learning set for students to use at home-each one made for them!
