This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach art students K-5 and I often get asked "how do I draw...?" I personally don't like to draw for my students, instead have them experience working through their issues in their artwork and discover their talent. Having some reference material will give my students the confidence boost they need to draw on their own.

I am asking for a variety of drawing books so my students, especially my older and more self-aware students, can have a starting point with their drawings in art class.

Many of my students get stuck in the beginning of a project and I see this especially in grades 4 and 5, pre-teen students have a tougher time accepting their abilities.
