Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am the head teacher of the Pre-K cluster program. The cluster program consist of 17 non verbal autistic students. My classroom is built on fighting the narratives around individuals with disabilities. My students face adversities everyday because of their "label". My students do not have a disabilities they just have a different ability of seeing and learning the world. My classroom breeds some of the most resilient and brightest students who go off to achieve greatness despite the label society gives them. My classroom has students who are classifed as STLS students. These snacks will help us feed our students when the school meals aren't enough. These snacks will help us send extra food home during schools breaks.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
