My Students

I teach first graders at a Title I school in Florida, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students have difficult home lives. Many travel from home to home facing uncertainties of basic necessities. Even with all these hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. In my class, we are reinforcing our learning abilities in a time of adjustments and change.

I want my students to come into a safe, clean environment where the students are encouraged to be themselves, learn, and grow!

My Project

COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged world communities for almost 2 years now. Low-income communities such as where my school is in Jacksonville, Florida have been impacted the most. As a school teacher and a human being, my priority is to keep my students safe while they learn in my classroom. Therefore, my class room is in need of materials to keep us safe!

A face mask and hand soap are simple but very effective tools that will keep my students safe in my classroom.

Students will use the hand soap daily to clean any and all germs away. The carpet cleaner will help us keep our flexible seating areas free from pathogens that may make us sick. These fun colored masks will not only protect my students from catching the virus but will bring a little bit of whimsy into their already not-so-easy lives. Thank you for helping us stay safe and germ free!
