My Students

My students are from a small, rural town in Oklahoma. The families of my students are hard working, but like most, have a hard time making ends meet sometimes. Our school has a large free and reduced priced lunch program. There is only one kindergarten class, and I'm blessed to be the teacher. We have academic teams, sports, band, and FFA that our students are involved in. Our community is so supportive of our school and student body, there's nothing like it.

My Project

My students have been blessed with one to one iPads. I am so thankful for the iPads, and now my students need headphones to go with them. When my students use their tablets in class, it can be difficult for them to hear what is being said on their learning app. Using the headphones with their tablets will allow my students to get the most out of the reading and math apps they are using, which are helping increase my student's reading skills for phonics and comprehension, and math apps to learn strategies.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
