This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Welcome to a small class of hardworking scholars with very few resources! Our school is located in the heart of West Philadelphia, in one of the most impoverished and tight-knit communities I have ever witnessed.
There is so much heart, and so much grit in the students and families I am privileged to work with.
My goal is to provide these students with as much enrichment as I possibly can.
My students are enthusiastic about learning! They love reading, and each and every one of them come to school excited to learn and work. Please help us provide as many resources as we can to help them succeed.
My Project
Many of the students in our class have unreliable access to afterschool snacks that will help them make it through until dinner. Though our school provides all students with breakfast and lunch each day, many of my young learners leave school complaining of hunger pains. I almost never have anything that is portable for them to take with them to their afterschool care or home.
This project will fund snacks for every student, so they can focus on learning, not on where their next meal will be coming from.
This order is exclusively made up of nutritious snacks that are either portable or nonperishable.
