This project is vital to the function of our classroom. As a school receiving special services due to the extreme poverty and behavioral needs of our classroom, many students require time, and space, to meet with the teacher one-on-one or in a small setting in order to learn best. As of now, students do not have a conducive space to work with the teacher. My students are bright and passionate students, but face so many exceptionally heartbreaking challenges outside of school. If we want to change their view on education and encourage them to pursue knowledge long term, we need to show them they are valued by our community. This project will help each of my students get the individualized educational opportunities that they need in order to be successful in school. Thank you for your time, and support!
