Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fourth grade is a year of tremendous growth and transition. My students are becoming more independent and beginning to navigate the early stages of puberty. With these changes comes a growing need for access to basic hygiene and self-care items during the school day.

Not all students have consistent access to personal care products at home, and many are still learning how to manage new responsibilities related to their changing bodies.

Our classroom hygiene cart provides a safe, private, and respectful way for students to access essential supplies when they need them.

This project will restock items such as deodorant, feminine hygiene products, mouthwash, lotion, lip balm, and hair accessories. These simple but important resources help students feel clean, confident, and comfortable. When students feel secure in their personal care, they are better able to focus, participate in class, and engage with their peers.

Supporting hygiene is about more than appearance — it is about dignity, self-esteem, and creating a learning environment where every child feels prepared and valued.

Your support will help ensure that my fourth graders can continue building healthy habits while staying focused on what matters most: learning and growing.
