Help me give my students a way to stay healthy while they are learning with a podium and standing balance board.

My Project

My students spend so much time sitting in desks. As I teacher, I bought my own standing desk with a balance board so that I can stay healthy and moving while working in my classroom. I never sit while teaching, and I'm always moving. I always allowed students to stand in the back if they wished, but it made me sad to see that students didn't have an easy option to learn while moving. Finally, I bought one board for students with my own money to use during class, and I paired it with an old school podium.

Students really enjoy it and take turns moving while learning.

I really want to expand this option for more students. I want to provide an option for students to stand in the back and get some exercise during class. If this works I'd love to expand it; perhaps in the future I could have the majority stand with desks for those who really need them. Imagine the scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off if the students had been at podiums, moving their bodies while learning about the Hawley Smoot Tariff!
