I am asking for materials to teach my students about mental health (social-emotional learning), nutritional education and fun games to engage in physical wellness.
According to the CDC, people with developmental disabilities are more likely to be overweight and have more health issues compared to their typically developing peers.
This is why I am teaching my students about healthy choices and would like to conclude my lessons with a field day celebration.
I want to teach my students all about how to stay healthy both physically and emotionally. These tools will help me with how to plan lessons and ideas of activities to try with my students. The games will be utilized during my school's annual Field Day celebration. My students have special needs and require a little extra time to learn new material. I will start to teach the games to my students now so they are ready to play them in May.
